Flash floods in Spain

Glossary:


- flash flood: /flʌd/ a rapid flooding of geomorphic low-lying areas, like rivers and dry lakes.

- drought: /draʊt/ a prolonged period of abnormally low rainfall, leading to a shortage of water.

- drown: /draʊn/ die or kill through submersion in water.

- bank: the land alongside or sloping down to a river or lake.
